FITT: Don’t Ask a Pill to Do It!

Nikkia shredded another 5 lbs on the FITT Challenge!

A group of us began this challenge to shred pounds as 2011 descended upon us, determined not to allow the 1st quarter of this year to be the same ole, same ole.  Einstein defined “Insanity” as “doing the same thing and expecting different results”.   The FITT Challenge for some of us is doing something different knowing that the results will be different.

We are meeting that challenge!  I’m monitoring my personal progress as well. I actually started the challenge by starting an exercise program some months ago, and my goal wasn’t at all to gain any muscle because what I know about muscle goes back some 30 years to when I was an 18 year old working out in my garage with steel weights, bench pressing nearly 300lbs! NOT! I began something that I could do, swim. However, because of using Immunocal my wife noticed more “definition”. Well since the Dr. Land’s Study indicates that 90-days on Immunocal results in 13.5% increase in muscle, it made sense. I began to love swimming like I didn’t imagine that I would but I started adding push ups to my regimen before and after (about 20 before and 20 afterward) to try to build my strength and prepare for the day when the water would be too cold (my pool isn’t heated!). I started in the summer of 2010 putting forth no effort to loose weight but interestingly, I put on about 5 lbs but lost about an inch off my waist, I was converting (muscle is denser than fat by about double). I have since lost about 7 lbs now and another inch off my waist. I’m at 192 now and my ideal weight is 180.

One reason why muscle is of value is that it is the largest consumer of blood glucose in the body and it can consume as much as 160 calories even while you sleep! The ideal exercise was published in the NY Times last year to be 100 minutes a week of an aerobic type exercise and 14 minutes per day of strength training.

So here’s my recommendation for the FITT Challenge:

Morning
1. Drink 12 oz of water the instant you open your eyes.
2. Before you exercise, take your Multi-vitamin with Chlorella, and drink .5-1 oz of XtraSharp to turn your lights on and give you enough juice to get through it.
3. Drink down 1 scoop of FITT also before you exercise.
4. Exercise for 30 minutes.
5. Take 1 pouch of Immunocal and a Thermal Action and a PNT200 immediately after you exercise.

Afternoon
1. Eat a healthy snack at about 10:30 am or 11 am (raw broccoli or something similar).
2. If you want to shred weight aggressively, take another scoop of FITT for lunch.
3. If you’re going at a slower pace, then eat a healthy lunch. Cut out white processed foods, heavy salad dressings, cheese, fast food and the like. Eliminate sugar from your vocabulary and from your diet.

Evening
1. Eat a healthy snack around 3 pm, and take another PNT200 to inhibit cortisol (the fat hormone).
2. Eat a healthy dinner. We do not recommend using FITT for more than two meals per day. You can take two calcium tablets after dinner.
3. Take between 1 and 2 oz of Cherry an hour or so before going to bed (can mix 1 oz in 8 oz of water, or just take it straight). This will give you a good night’s sleep so you’ll wake up rested and ready to SHRED in the morning!

Talk to your doctor before you begin any exercise or weight loss routine.  Join our challenge!  Its cheaper than a fast food combo meal!  I’m excited now about shredding the pounds more aggressively and feel good about feeling good. Exercise can do so much for your psyche even when you don’t realize that your psyche needs a thump!  A routine of healthy eating and physical activity in moderation will improve your quality of life and improve productivity.
